Plasterboard is manufactured from a core of gypsum encased by two paperboard liners. Surface treatment of the liners with Mystolene MK9 imparts an exceptionally high degree of water repellency.

Speciality grades of plasterboard treated with Mystolene MK9 are ideal for use in building applications where the water repellent finish aids in the stripping of wallpaper. When a room is to be re-decorated, the easy-strip characteristic makes the task of removing the existing wallpaper simpler and faster.
